What is translation?

Translation is the conversion of written text from one language to another. I translate from Italian and French to English.

What is interpreting?

Interpreting is the conversion of the spoken word from one language to the other. It can be performed in a variety of settings and modes; I offer services from EN<>IT and FR>EN. However, not all interpreting jobs are the same.

liaison interpreting

This type of interpreting is used for small groups and intimate settings; suitable applications would include small meetings and group tours. I offer services from EN<>IT for these settings.

conference interpreting

Conference interpreting is generally used for large meetings with multilingual participants and speakers. Conference interpreters generally provide simultaneous interpreting during these types of meetings. I offer services from IT>EN and FR>EN for these settings.

What is copywriting?

Copywriting is the creation of content for marketing purposes. I offer copywriting services in English only. I can either create your content in English, or base my content off of your existing copy in Italian or French. I write press releases, create social media campaigns, and more.

What are your consulting services?

With years of project management experience under my belt, I can offer expert project management skills for your localization and translation projects. I can also help you design your translation and interpretation needs. If you're not sure what you need, this is usually a good place to start. 

DO I NEED A PROFESSIONAL TRANSLATION?

It depends. Do you simply need the gist of a text? If so, you might be able to rely on a machine translation without issue. If, however, you have a technical text, or if your text in any way relates to your professional image (your company’s website, a press release, and yes, even social media posts), a professional translation is absolutely necessary.
